Doctor-led Profhilo treatment · Manchester
Meet Dr Jamie Harrison to discuss changes in skin quality and whether Profhilo may suit your face, neck or another agreed treatment area.
Profhilo suitability
Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic-acid product used as part of a skin-remodelling plan. It is different from conventional dermal filler because the treatment is not designed to build a specific facial feature or create a sharply defined contour.
Dr Jamie assesses skin quality, laxity, hydration and the treatment area before explaining the likely course and what level of change is realistic.
The consultation keeps the treatment goal specific. Profhilo may be considered where gradual skin-quality support is the priority, while a different option may be more useful when the concern is facial shape, deeper volume change or a clearly defined line.
Book an in-person consultation
Review hydration, texture, laxity and how the skin appears and feels across the proposed area during clinical assessment.
Clarify whether the priority is gradual skin support rather than added contour or facial volume during clinical consultation.
Consider previous treatment, current skincare, timing and the number of appointments likely to be useful during clinical planning.
A considered recommendation
Profhilo helps address skin laxity and quality by supporting collagen production and hydration. It is not a substitute for facial filler when volume replacement is needed. Dr Jamie helps you decide whether Profhilo could improve your skin quality and maintain hydration.
What Jamie assesses
Course planning
Your first appointment
Dr Jamie reviews the skin changes you have noticed, assesses the proposed area and explains how Profhilo differs from filler and other skin treatments before recommending a course.
Book your consultationExplain differences you have noticed in hydration, texture or firmness and what a worthwhile improvement would look like to you.
Dr Jamie reviews your health, medication, skincare, previous injectable treatment and any upcoming events that may affect timing during planning.
Skin quality, laxity, hydration and tissue condition are assessed together in the proposed treatment area before a course is recommended.
You clearly discuss how Profhilo differs from conventional filler, skin boosters and other treatments that may suit a different concern.
You leave with the proposed number and timing of sessions, confirmed price and a clear point for reviewing progress clinically.
Treatment day
If Profhilo is suitable, Dr Jamie confirms the area and injection pattern, prepares the skin and places the product at the agreed points. You leave with clear guidance for the small raised injection points that can be visible initially.
Book a consultation
Review the treatment area, current session and intended skin-quality goal before your treatment begins at the clinic.
The treatment area is cleansed and the injection points are mapped precisely according to the agreed treatment pattern.
Dr Jamie administers Profhilo at the planned points, with attention to accurate placement and patient comfort throughout treatment.
The treated area is checked and you receive guidance for injection points, settling period and the following session.
Recovery and settling
Profhilo is planned as a course of treatments, with results taking around 4–8 weeks to become noticeable. Dr Jamie explains the early appearance and how gradual skin-quality changes are reviewed over time.
The review returns to the skin concern agreed at consultation and considers the overall course, rather than using immediate volume or facial shaping as the measure of success.
Small raised points can be visible immediately after treatment and usually become less noticeable as the product begins to settle.
Mild redness, tenderness or bruising can resolve gradually. Follow the individual advice for skincare, exercise and touching the treated area.
Changes in hydration and skin quality develop progressively, with the course completed according to the agreed schedule during clinical review.
Maintenance treatment every 4–6 months helps maintain hydration and promote collagen production. Dr Jamie reviews your skin before treatment.
Safety and informed consent
Your consultation covers the expected benefits, likely recovery, relevant risks, alternatives and aftercare before you decide whether treatment is right for you.
Small injection marks, redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur while the area settles. Changes develop gradually, and early differences usually become easier to assess over time.
If your recovery feels different from what was discussed, or you are concerned at any point, contact the clinic. Dr Jamie will assess what is happening and explain what to do next.
Before treatment, Dr Jamie explains the expected recovery, relevant risks, alternatives and aftercare, with time for you to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed.
